Surveying & Mapping
Surveying has been a major aspect of BCE's organizational structure since the company's existence. BCE continuously retains three to four 2-man survey crews. Each 2-man survey crew is equipped with state-of-the-art surveying equipment. All field work is collected in a total station or Global Positioning System (GPS) and then downloaded to our networked computer system in an AutoCAD format. Our draftsmen then import the files into AutoCAD and generate the desired project product such as: contours, boundaries, cross sections, profiles, plats, alignments, as-built drawings, etc... Once final designed is completed, our surveyors download the point configurations to perform construction staking of streets, parking areas, drainage infrastructure, water, sanitary sewer, cut and fill areas, and building locations.
Our surveyors are experienced in Control Surveys; Land Surveys; Topographic Surveys; Geographic Information Systems (GIS); Route Surveys; Engineering Surveys; Construction Layout; Boundary Surveys; Location Surveys; Global Positioning System (GPS); Installation of Grid System; Analysis of existing surveying information; and Computations and Note Reductions.
BCE has assisted cities with developing and installing a surveying monument system. BCE has performed thousands of boundary and topographic surveys and has created hundreds of preliminary and final plot plans and surveys. BCE utilizes the latest GPS technology for many surveying projects.
